Chris Corbin

Chris Corbin is the ePSIplus Network Analyst focusing on the financial impact, pricing and charging theme (PSI re-use). He is also directly involved in Network dissemination activities including news items as well as outputs related to the geospatial sectors which includes amongst others, meteorological data, environmental information, topographic information, cadastral information, and other geographic information domains; and for facilitating work with and between the European Associations and in the area of IPR/copyright assertion. He has a BA in Technology and has a wide and extensive experience in the ICT sector both within the public and private sectors. He has been involved in geographic information and the associated technologies since the early seventies. Chris has been the Chair of a number of Associations including the UK Association for Geographic Information (AGI http://www.agi.org.uk ). Chris was the UK AGI representative within the European Umbrella Organisation for Geographic Information (EUROGI).

Chris has been involved in European projects and initiatives including GINIE (Geographic Information Network in Europe IST-2000-29493) where he was the EUROGI Project Manager coordinating the 24 EUROGI members from 22 different countries across Europe and their members. He was responsible for desk research (UK and Malta) within the MEPSIR project and has been a regular contributor to the ePSINet, ePSINet-CEE and SPREAD Projects as well as the European Geographic Information Policy forum hosted by the EC_JRC at ISPRA.
